Willie and Alison: Musicians Galore
I wanted to see an ICON before he finally hangs it up, so I carried my kids (15 and 22) to see Karol G and Alison. They were very much pleased with the show, I must say. Kayce Musgraves was entertaining, and the weather was cooperating, which was a very pleasant surprise. When Alison and Union Station hit the stage, we were presented with an outstanding performance by a group of the most talented musicians in the world. Jerry Douglas, a master with the Dobro, which is almost extinct in today's music, was awesome. I was afraid Willie would not be able to get the crowd going after such a fine performance, but he really did a great job. His voice is not what it used to be, but his guitar playing is as good (if not better), and his work with Mickey Raphael (harmonica) is better than ever. Really glad we got to see Willie and Family!
